Our Impact

Last year, The Foster Alliance (TFA) distributed more than $5.5 million worth of essential resources to the foster community—items such as brand-new beds, cribs, shoes, clothing, diapers, pull-ups, and wipes. Families could fill their gas tanks without hesitation, pay their utility bills, and even purchase everything on their grocery list—all while providing the best possible life for the foster children in their care.

Monthly Gifting Program

The Foster Alliance’s TRUE FRIENDS are monthly donors whose dependable support helps us respond the moment a child needs care and keep families equipped, supported, and ready year-round.

Eligible Arizona taxpayers can receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for their gifts. By giving $53 per month for single filers or $105 per month for couples filing jointly, you can spread your full 2026 tax-credit contribution throughout the year. Become a True Friend today.

How We Help

Today, families across Arizona and New Mexico will receive a phone call urging them to open their homes to children who need a safe place to stay. We are here to support the superheroes who say “yes,” making it easier to open their homes for a child in need. Through our programs, we provide essentials such as beds, clothing, birthday gifts, and more to children on a foster care journey.

Essential Services

One of our largest programs, Essential Services, is here to make it easier for families to open their homes to foster children, while providing those children with the best life possible.

Back to School 

For TFA, Back to School is both a season and a year-round commitment. We provide multiple ways for foster children to get brand new backpacks, school supplies, and essentials no matter the time of year.  

LSI – Licensing & Safety

We often find that there are more foster kids in need of a safe home than there are families who can open their doors. That is why we provide custom household safety kits for new foster families going through the state licensing process.  

Holiday Toy Fest

Children in foster care deserve to feel the joy of the holiday season, and we want to help you make that happen. Starting at the end of October each year, our #FosterAllies gather far and wide to provide toys and gifts for foster youth ages 0-21.  

Birthday Dreams 

At TFA, we believe celebrating birthdays is just as essential as having clothes for school. That’s why we provide over 400 personalized birthday gifts monthly to every foster child, teen, and young adult.  

Safe Sleep  

TFA believes all children deserve a safe place to sleep. That is why we provide brand-new beds, cribs, and linens to ensure all foster children have a safe place to sleep.
